Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko, a Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai competitor from Peru and mixed martial artist competing for her country in UFC for the Flyweight Division. She is in the midst of competing. Shevchenko is the older sister of an earlier UFC Flyweight champ and fellow UFC participant Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sports career in the form of a Muay Thai Kickboxer and debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event in the finals and beat Suzane Miller in the finals via unanimity. Antonina Shevchenko won her second medal in 2007, she was awarded a bronze medal in 2008 and winning gold in 2011 and was crowned the 2016 IFMA World Amateur Muay Thak Champion. Antonia began her professional career in 2003. She won in the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012 and the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and then the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas in her final fight at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by an unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko shattered her first professional MMA record at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She managed to take home in the second round of a TKO fight. She also won the following two matches during the WXF: X-Impact World Championships which resulted in an overall record of 3-0. Shevchenko had a brief break from MMA and concentrated on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko beat Anissa through a unanimous decision after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She left the promotion in 2018, and enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko faced Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina Shevchenko defeated Nievera thanks to her impressive striking ability through a clinch using striking her with her knees. After this win, Antonina was awarded an UFC deal. Antonina received her a UFC contract following her win. Shevchenko suffered defeat to Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision, after winning her debut fight. Antonina bounced back from losing to knock out Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission in the second round UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko lost to Katlyn Cookagian, but she won Ariane Lipski in her subsequent three bouts. Antonina was lastly defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
